Just an average day...

Well, after months of saying 'I will do this' and 'I will do that', it seems the New Year really is the time to put those 'Wills' into action.
Yesterday, Tania and I ventured down to Chatham and low and behold, we saw someone get searched by the police! The man in question appeared to be carrying some sort of illegal substance (we are in Chatham after all!). But nevertheless, having come from a relatively nice if boring little town in the West Country, it still shocks me to see the amount of police down in Chatham high street during the day! We sure aren't in Kansas anymore Toto!
Like any good reporters we 'slyly' sauntered by but much to our dismay, the police moved the man out of the public view while his two companions stood looking shifty and keen looking to make a dash!
But anyway back to the actual matter of this blog...
We had gone into Chatham hoping to spend some pennies but after a fairly unsuccessful trip,  Tania and I very bravely decided to have our eyebrows threaded in full view of the Public's eye. Although Tania had experienced this before, her reaction was a very funny thing to watch - I can't imagine mine was much better! This was my first time and I felt very nervous as my pain threshold is rather low. But after months of saying I would get them down, I finally 'plucked' up the courage!
See, I'm not sure if fellow bloggers or readers have ever experienced having their eyebrows threaded. Unlike waxing which I find preferable, threading takes a little longer and leaves your eyebrows (well, what's left of them!) very red for a good few hours.
Whilst the lady was threading away I wanted to punch her and scream at her to hurry up, I held my tongue. Just. I rather dread to think how I shall take child birth! But I hung in there and thanked Tania under my breath for letting me go first!
After, we had to quickly run back to the car and remove the streaks of mascara and eyeliner running down our cheeks, not an attractive look along with extreme redness!
Alas, the job was a gooden and the result..well you tell me. Thin and well shaped I'm happy with them, I just dread when they start to grow back. Maybe I'll stick to waxing...
