A football fan in the making

I wouldn't say I am a massive football fan. I claim to support Chelsea but as my boyfriend will tell you, I'm not  a very good fan, between you and me, I only support them because I didn't want to support Man U, Liverpool or Everton like the vast majority of my family!
This all changed last Saturday when I went to see my first football match. It was Ipswich v Crystal Palace at Portman Road and WOW -it was amazing!!!! The atmosphere was electric, there was a crowd of over 22,000 and you could taste the excitment in the air!
Since dating Alex Dack, I've tried to be good and take an interest in 'Ippy' Town Football Club. I've been learning the players names, watching the matches and I've really gotten into it - so I was very chuffed when he said we were going to watch them and even more chuffed when his lovely Mummy bought me my very own Ipswich Scarf.
I sat in the crowd, wearing my scarf and screaming along- I felt like a real fan.
My heart raced every time we got close to the goal and I had to shut my eyes whenever Crystal Palace nearly scored.
I'm glad to say we won because it really made the match for me.
I think I've now been converted to the football hype - but only for my new favourite team - Ipswich.
So I encourage anyone who hasn't been, to go and watch a match, you never know, you too could be converted!

Shopping for Labels, Shopping for Love

It occurred to me last night whilst watching Sex and the City, that us girls really can take some valuable lessons from the characters.
Friend and fellow blogger, Tania Steere, has already labelled Sex and the City her"Modern Day Bible", and I think she's quite right.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, can cheer you up like a bit of retail therapy, especially if your boyfriend is on the other side of the country!
Carrie Bradshaw, the main protagonist teaches us that as long as you look great, who cares. Love will come in its own time. This is a character who keeps sweaters in her oven for heavens sake! Samantha, a sex obsessed, know what she wants kind of girl, teaches this too, dumping her long- term boyfriend in an effort to go from flabby to fabulous.
We are still young at the moment and we don't know what the future will bring us, or even who. I like to think I will be with my wonderful boyfriend forever but now that I've found my love, I'm going to get back to concentrating on labels.
I already own quite a few expensive things (including my Loboutins), and I don't seem the harm in splashing out if you can. You can't spend money when you're dead!
And whilst a new Chanel bag might break the bank, it won't break your heart.
