It occurred to me last night whilst watching Sex and the City, that us girls really can take some valuable lessons from the characters.
Friend and fellow blogger, Tania Steere, has already labelled Sex and the City her"Modern Day Bible", and I think she's quite right.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, can cheer you up like a bit of retail therapy, especially if your boyfriend is on the other side of the country!
Carrie Bradshaw, the main protagonist teaches us that as long as you look great, who cares. Love will come in its own time. This is a character who keeps sweaters in her oven for heavens sake! Samantha, a sex obsessed, know what she wants kind of girl, teaches this too, dumping her long- term boyfriend in an effort to go from flabby to fabulous.
We are still young at the moment and we don't know what the future will bring us, or even who. I like to think I will be with my wonderful boyfriend forever but now that I've found my love, I'm going to get back to concentrating on labels.
I already own quite a few expensive things (including my Loboutins), and I don't seem the harm in splashing out if you can. You can't spend money when you're dead!
And whilst a new Chanel bag might break the bank, it won't break your heart.
Sounds like you're just playing it safe. U gotta take a risk every now and then! What is life without it? Retail therapy is for those with money. But what about girls without that privilege? Then they have nothing then. :(
ReplyDeleteBtw hi5 on getting louboutins! Join the club. ;)
I know, it's nice to sometimes give money to those less fortunate, sometimes it gives you more pleasure then a pair of shoes can,we can only try help those less fortunate :)
ReplyDeletehaha woo for us ;)
I've had mine for nearly a year but I don't wear them often because I don't want them to get ruined!
